Podcast Summarybreaking down musical boundaries like a bat out of erm boundary hell!! - trance, electro, breaks, house, drum and bass, hard dance, hardcore... About jickeeJickee JayCee's obsession with electronic music began back in 1998 after a trip with a coach full of nutters to some random Warehouses in Milton keynes, the event was called Helter Skelter and after that he would make the journey back every 2 months to this haven of musical mayhem until its demise on new years eve 99/00. Fuelled by the sounds of MZone & Mark EG and now travelling to Compulsion @ Bowlers in Manchester and North in Stoke on Trent for regular brain shaking sessions, he began DJing at local events in Liverpool held at places such as the Masque, Le Bateau, The Carling Academy & Zanzi Bar under the alias 'Epidemic'. This led to bookings further afield such as Manchester, Leicester, Skegness and many more as well as putting on his own events in liverpool - Futureshock(@ the Masque & Hevn & Hell), Analysis(@ Le Bateau) and Same But Different(@ The Drezla Lounge) He released his own limited white label in 2004 with tracks '88 miles per hour' and 'for the c@sh' which were all sold in less than a month. In around 2005/2006 the hard trance sound which he had relentlessly followed for the last 8 years had died down, releases from record labels where few and far between and any worth of note even less. At around this time he decided to concentrate on getting a better day job and his Decks & records were left to gather dust. During this period he began listening to all different styles of dance & electronic music, from twisted electro to ear bleeding breakcore. He began to attend small events in Liverpool such as No Excuses which blew him away with its total random musical concept and the crowd loved it! It appeared that there was still good music being made out there... It was around mid 2007 that he started buying tracks again, but now it was anything that excited him regardless of its musical genre. Drum & Bass, House, Breaks it didnt matter as long as it had something exciting about it. Which brings us up to the present, he now goes under the name Jickee JayCee putting out the 'Same But Different Podcast' over the internet consisting of any electronic music which is exciting him at the moment!
